Extended Family Portrait Session
It is always such an honor to photograph an extended family portrait session. I know how much they value photography to coordinate multiple families getting together at the same time. This family does an amazing job coordinating outfits, and getting everyone together to document their beautiful family.
Last Fall, the G Family had their first extended family session with me. The pictures turned out so amazing that they decided to do it again this Fall. I love all the different groups we were able to capture. Of course we got the big group photo and with all my extended family sessions, also got individual families. We got the grandparents with their grandkids and individual images of the kids. These are images they will have for a lifetime and passed down to future generations.
Next time you’re racking your brains trying to figure out what exactly to gift your Mom for her birthday, you know the one that pretty much has everything she could already want?
Stop and think about something she hasn’t received yet.
That photo.
Give her a walk in the park, give her belly laughs, give her the memory of her grandchildren. Give her tears of joy, real smiles, real memories. Then give her ALL the photos from ‘that day‘ the day you ALL got together, for Grandmom.
Moments pass. Kids grow up. Families evolve and change. But at the root of it all are grandparents.
It was a true pleasure photographing the G Family. It didn’t feel like work at all, I was simply documenting them as they were. Ok maybe some bribes were involved… Each child, each family were all so happy to be there together. We decided on Black Rock Sanctuary. Even though the grounds were filled with mosquitos from all the rain, even though the kids were a little wild sometimes as they were playing with their cousins. They were so happy to just be together.
